Christmas Cookie Marathon

Last year we decided to make Trays of Christmas cookies for some of our neighbors. As you can see here we decided to do it this year to. Although we made the same amount of cookies this year as last year it seemed like so much more work. :o These are Oatmeal, White chocolate chip, craisin...cookies. Toffee bars. I have one word for you: YUMMY

I made Ginger snaps. I've made them a few times now and they are just about Daddy's favorite cookie of all times so...

White chocolate raspberry bars.

We also made sugar cookies. I don't understand why we go to all the work making these cookies and decorating them if i don't even like sugar cookies. Hmmm This cookie tray was special because of the giraffe. It was the only one we made because its legs kept breaking off. Actually even while we were decorating it one of the legs fell of. So sad.

These are Henry/Daddy's cookies. Daddy did everything except for the sprinkles. Isn't that tree awesome? And no, Henry didn't make it.These are Mommy's cookies.
These are Kate's cookies.
These are my cookies.
This is before:

And this is after.

The Dead Sea

Today I had an Experiment in Science. I call it the Dead Sea experiment because it showed just what it is like to be in the Dead Sea. These were the exact words from the assignment. Dissolve about 10 teaspoons of salt in a glass of warm water. Pour fresh water in another glass. Put and egg in each glass. The egg in the fresh glass of water sinks but the one with salt will stay up. Can you see the difference? I didn't think it would work but it did!

As you can see the one in the salt water just is bobbing around at the top.

Flag Football

This Fall/Winter Henry joined a Flag Football team with his age boys. Too bad he wasn't wearing his football jersey...The cutest player on the team: Henry. I don't know if you can see what is on Henry's medal, but it is a football with a football helmet in the background. The cutest five-year-old Henry ever.

Certificate of Participation is awarded to Henry Carroll for your outstanding dedication and sportsmanship for the 2009 Flag Football season at Minot AFB, ND.
I'm proud of my little brother. :)

Decor and Dolls

Merry Christmas! We have two trees this year, a kid tree with all of the family ornaments and the adult tree or "pretty tree" with just red and silver balls. I think the adult tree is boring, but whatever. This is the kid tree. Most of the ornaments are on the front. I guess everyone wanted to see their ornaments first. This ornament is my favorite ornament of all times. I don't know when I got it though. In case you didn't notice it says Noel on the front. The first Noel is one of my favorite songs and I like the bear on it. I also like it because we are getting a black toy poodle and naming it Piper Noel so I like it even more now.

Our fisher price nativity scene.

Daddy says that his Stocking is his favorite and his least favorite. It is his favorite because Mommy made it and it is his least favorite because of what it has on it, Santa and Mrs. Clause.

This is my favorite. Well, of course! It has my name on it!

The adult tree. It did end up looking prettier than I thought. You probably can't see but their are white lights on it.

These are on our table.

I really liked this angle so I had to post it.

Our real nativity scene.

Henry told me this was Actually what Joseph and Mary looked like. Weird.

I have no idea why Kate thought that this bear was supposed to go under the piano.

All of my American Girls are dressed up for the holidays. Felicity is riding on Penny the horse, Kirsten is behind the table, Addy is next to the table, Emily is holding baby Polly, and Ruth is the one in the black and white dress.

Studio

Our art studio is nearing the finish! As you can see on the chalkboard. If it is too blurry it says; Official opening soon! contact Addy or Kate for details. Then at the bottom it says closed. The red thing at the top is our toy cash register where I keep some of my things. It is sort of messy but that is because we forgot to clean up yesterday! :o

Yes, Henry bought the picture of pencils from me.

Pictures on hold: forest brown bear; my picture and...
Perfume bottles; Kate's picture.

We take requests for certain pictures if we don't have what they want. AP means already paid.

Some of my pictures. All that's left is to make and put up a curtain over the upper half of the door!
